Companion Dog - Activities (8 weeks)
Vaccinations must be kept up to date for the duration of the course. Vaccination certificate must be shown at first class.

Advanced topics covered
This course extends and revises the topics of the Pet dog manners course.
New topics covered
- Free walk for 20-30 paces
- Stay (120 seconds, five paces - one of sit, down or stand positions)
- Recall to handler from toy or play (10 paces)
- Good manners at doorways and gates
- Basic health checks by handler
- Road walking manners
- Meet and greet dog relaxed and controlled as the handler holds a group conversation for 60 seconds
- Vehicle manners
- Food manners
Activities Tricks and Games
Further Tricks
Many tricks are common to many or all canine games and can also used as a fun way to interact and bond with your dog. Tricks also help family members who are 'not sure about dogs' to enjoy the fun.

- Basic assistant dog tasks
After completing this course:
- You will have a head start if you want to engage in your chosen canine sport for fun or competition.
- Advice and contacts for further training will be provided.
- If you wish to continue with more advanced training keep your dog's mind active
- You and your dog will be welcome to return to this class on a 'pay as you go' basis at reduced rates.
